Former Member of Parliament for Khulna-6, Rashiduzzaman Morol, was released on parole from Jessore Central Jail on Monday to attend the funeral of his elder sister, Raushnara Morol.

Raushnara Morol, 70, passed away from age-related complications at her home in Kashimnagar village at approximately 8:00 AM on Monday. She was the widow of the late Abdul Mannan Morol, a former Union Parishad chairman.

Following the news of the death, the former MP’s daughter, Mritika Zaman, applied for her father's temporary release. Authorities approved the request on humanitarian grounds.

Under heavy police escort, Rashiduzzaman reached his sister’s residence at 8:40 PM. While a large number of local residents and political activists gathered to see him, law enforcement maintained strict control over the area to ensure order.

The funeral prayers (Janaza) were held at the Rezzakpur Government Primary School grounds. It was attended by local dignitaries, political leaders, and relatives. Raushnara Morol was later buried in the family graveyard.

After a brief meeting with grieving family members, Rashiduzzaman Morol was transported back to Jessore Central Jail later that night.
