Actor Ashraful Haque Don, who was arrested in a case alleging the planned murder of popular film actor Mohammad Shahriar (Imon), better known as Salman Shah, has been placed on a five-day remand by a Dhaka court.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jewel Rana passed the order after a hearing on Thursday (August 27).
Earlier, on August 20, the case’s investigating officer, Inspector Mujibur Rahman of the CID’s Dhaka Metro South unit, had sought a seven-day remand for Don.
The court subsequently fixed August 27 for the remand hearing in the presence of the accused.
