No compromise on impartiality: EC Sanaullah

Election Commissioner (EC) Brigadier General (Retd.) Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah said that everyone is eagerly waiting for the upcoming elections due to being deprived of the opportunity to vote for a long time.

Addressing those who will be responsible for the 13th National Parliament Election on behalf of the Commission, the EC said, 'The Commission will not compromise on impartiality. Everyone will have to remain 100% impartial. If there is any deviation from this, the Commission will take strict action.

EC Sanaullah said this while addressing the coordination meeting held on Saturday afternoon, January 31, at the conference room of the Jhalakathi District Commissioner's Office.

He also said, after meeting with people from different walks of life across the country, I feel that they are eager to exercise their voting rights. We want to fulfill the expectations of the people.

EC Sanaullah told reporters that no one is above the law. Election officials involved in election fraud will be brought to justice. The Reforms Commission has recommended this.

The coordination meeting held under the chairmanship of Jhalakathi Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Md. Momin Uddin was attended by Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman, officers in charge of the Army Camp, intelligence officers, law and order cell and vigilance and observation team.
