The Dhaka University (DU) unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal staged a major protest rally on campus today, demanding immediate justice for recent incidents of mob violence and arson across Bangladesh.

Led by Central President Rakibul Islam Rakib and DU unit leaders, the rally commenced at TSC’s Payera Chattar around 12:45 PM. Protesters marched through key points, including the VC Chattar and Central Library, before converging at the Anti-Terrorism Raju Memorial Sculpture.

The demonstration specifically highlighted the tragic deaths of seven-year-old Ayesha—daughter of a BNP official—who died in a house fire in Lakshmipur, and Deepu Chandra Das, a garment worker killed in Mymensingh. Activists chanted slogans questioning the interim government’s role in preventing such brutality.

The protest also comes in the wake of recent attacks on media offices and cultural organizations, with Chhatra Dal pledging to ensure a "Safe Bangladesh."
