A massive procession and rally were held in Narail on Friday afternoon to welcome the newly formed convening committee of the district Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal.

Led by newly elected Convener Khandaker Mahmudul Hasan Soni and Member Secretary Mamun Gazi, the procession started in front of the Narail Chowrasta BNP office. After parading through key streets of the town, it concluded at Rupganj Bazar. A brief rally followed back at the party office.

The event drew a large turnout, including members of the new committee, former student leaders, and general activists who marched through the town chanting welcoming slogans.

District BNP Organizing Secretary Ijazul Babu and former Organizing Secretary Shahriar Rizvi Judge, among other senior affiliate leaders, attended the event.

Addressing the rally, speakers stated that evaluating dedicated, battle-tested street activists has strengthened the foundation of the Narail Chhatra Dal. They expressed optimism that the new leadership would accelerate future democratic movements.

In their speeches, Soni and Gazi thanked the central leadership, pledging to advocate for general students' rights and fortify the organizational structure at the grassroots level.

The central committee of Chhatra Dal, led by President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir, officially approved the four-member convening committee on Tuesday (May 12) night.

The new leadership features Khandaker Mahmudul Hasan Soni (former district general secretary) as Convener, Mamun Gazi (former Sadar Upazila convener) as Member Secretary, Syed Rubaiyat Turshed Shathil (former district organizing secretary) as Senior Joint Convener, and S. M. Rakibuzzaman Pappu (former Kalia Upazila convener) as Joint Convener.
