Inqilab Moncho has issued an urgent appeal to the public to maintain peace and refrain from any form of violence following the death of its spokesperson, Sharif Osman Bin Hadi. Hadi, a defining voice of the 2024 July Revolution and a potential candidate for the 13th national parliamentary election, passed away on Thursday at a Singapore hospital, one week after surviving a targeted gun attack in Dhaka.
Despite the widespread grief and anger, the socio-cultural platform urged supporters to avoid chaos and instead hold organized protest marches in their respective localities to demand the arrest and trial of the killers.
Hadi’s body is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Dhaka, today (Friday) at approximately 6:05 PM via Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
The first Janaza was held Friday morning at the Angullia Mosque in Singapore. The primary Namaz-e-Janaza in Bangladesh will be held tomorrow, Saturday, at Manik Mia Avenue following Zohr prayers.
The platform has requested the nation to pray for the eternal peace of Hadi’s soul, honoring his legacy as a martyr for democratic rights.
