


Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has called on all members of the Bangladesh Police to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and efficiency to ensure a fair, peaceful, and transparent upcoming general election.
The IGP made the call during a special views-exchange meeting on law and order, organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) at the Bangladesh Police Auditorium in Rajarbagh yesterday (November 8).
The police officials present reviewed the law and order situation across Dhaka and discussed strategic measures necessary to ensure the impartial and orderly conduct of the national election.
The police chief stressed the critical importance of maintaining discipline, professionalism, and neutrality within the force. He urged officers to act responsibly to safeguard public trust and uphold the image of the Bangladesh Police.
The high-level meeting was chaired by DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali and included top officials such as Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman, Special Branch Additional IGP (Grade-1) Md Golam Rasul, Additional IGP (Crime and Operations) Khondaker Rafiqul Islam, and other senior officers of the DMP.
The directive highlights the police leadership's focus on ensuring an unbiased and secure environment for the forthcoming polls.
