


BNP Secretary for Microcredit Affairs M A Qaiyum has announced a monthly financial assistance of 1 lakh taka for the overall development and education of Badda High School in the capital. The aid will be provided on behalf of the Abdul Hye-Rabeya Foundation.
He made the announcement on Friday during a reception for meritorious students and the prize-giving ceremony of the annual sports competition held at the Badda High School grounds.
Speaking at the event, M A Qaiyum emphasized that education is the backbone of national development. He stressed the need for collective efforts to support educational institutions in shaping the next generation into educated, skilled, and qualified citizens.
He stated that the foundation would extend this regular monthly support of ৳1 lakh to ensure a favorable educational environment, student welfare, and infrastructure improvements at Badda High School.
"To develop an area, education must be given the highest priority. Students are the future of the nation, so alongside academic excellence, sports, culture, and moral education must also be emphasized," Qaiyum added. He affirmed that the Abdul Hye-Rabeya Foundation will continue its commitment to education, social welfare, and community development projects in the Badda area.
The ceremony featured a reception for top-performing students and the distribution of awards to the winners of the annual sports events.
Local leaders including AGM Shamsul Haq, M A Matin, GS Babu, Ali Hossain chairman, and Jahangir Molla, among other dignitaries, were present at the event. Welcoming the initiative, local leaders remarked that the guaranteed monthly aid would play a vital role in enhancing the school's facilities and supporting student welfare.
