


Six more children have died from measles and related symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours. Among them, one death was a confirmed case of measles, while the remaining five exhibited symptoms of the disease.
The Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) released these figures on Sunday afternoon.
According to the DGHS, 243 children tested positive for measles, and another 1,274 were hospitalized with suspected symptoms within the last 24 hours.
Since March 15, the national toll has risen significantly. A total of 459 children have died from the disease and related symptoms—75 confirmed via lab tests and 384 showing symptoms.
During this two-month period, Bangladesh has recorded 7,767 laboratory-confirmed measles cases and 57,846 suspected cases requiring hospital admission. Health authorities urge parents to ensure their children are vaccinated and to seek immediate medical care if symptoms appear.
