Fixed Fares Charged at Bus Counters: Transport Minister

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam stated on Wednesday that fixed fares are being strictly maintained across bus counters, and no major passenger grievances have been reported during the Eid rush.

Following an inspection of the Gabtoli Bus Terminal on March 18, the Minister shared that the "Eid journey" is proceeding smoothly. "We have not received any significant complaints of inconvenience from passengers so far," he remarked. "The few issues raised were addressed immediately."

The Minister highlighted several key updates regarding the holiday travel season

Roads remain clear with no reported traffic jams.

Buses are departing the capital on time, ensuring a comfortable experience for travelers.

Over 32,000 additional vehicles have crossed the Jamuna Bridge compared to standard daily averages.

Despite global concerns regarding Middle East tensions, the Minister assured the public that there is no fuel crisis and supplies remain sufficient for all public transport.
