


A mild earthquake was felt across various parts of Bangladesh, particularly in the northeastern region, at 12:46 PM today, Thursday (February 19).
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the tremor measured 4.1 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was located near the India-Bangladesh border, specifically in Chhatak Upazila of Sunamganj, approximately 181 kilometers from Dhaka.
While the tremor caused brief panic among residents in Sylhet and neighboring areas, there have been no immediate reports of casualties or structural damage. Meteorologists categorized the event as a "mild earthquake," noting that many people in central regions may not have felt the vibration.
