Narendra Modi has said that global conflicts cannot be resolved through military action alone, stressing the need for diplomacy and dialogue.

The Indian prime minister made the remarks during a joint press conference with the president of Finland on Thursday (March 5), amid rising tensions surrounding the conflict between the United States and Iran.

Modi said India believes in the rule of law, dialogue and diplomacy in addressing international disputes.

“No problem can be solved through military conflict alone,” he said, referring to ongoing crises in Ukraine and the wider West Asia region.

He added that both India and Finland share similar views on resolving conflicts peacefully and emphasized the need for urgent reforms in global institutions to address current geopolitical challenges.
