Actress Tanjin Tisha is facing a contradiction regarding her withdrawal from the Kolkata film 'Love Season,' produced by Sharif Khan. Tisha publicly claimed the film's funds were "false" and "faltu" in a Facebook post, asserting her transparency and placing the blame on the producer's failure to secure a visa. However, producer Sharif Khan has presented counter-evidence, including a voice recording, alleging Tisha herself caused the delay and subsequent financial loss.
Tisha stated that Sharif Khan was not the primary producer but a line producer, and the film could not proceed because he failed to obtain a visa. She also alleged he treated her unprofessionally over the phone.
A voice recording obtained by a media source reportedly shows Tanjin Tisha asking Producer Sharif Khan to delay the Kolkata shoot specifically because she was committed to Shakib Khan's film, 'Solzer.' In the recording, she expressed interest in 'Love Season' but stated, "I can’t return to that now... We plan to complete the film in Dhaka this month. I will ask you to keep my record."
Tisha's Facebook post blamed the producer's visa failure. Yet, the recording reveals Tisha telling Sharif Khan: "I assure you, don’t worry about the visa. I will handle my own visa. You don’t need to be concerned about it."
Sharif Khan refuted Tisha's claim that he was not the primary producer, urging her to "verify the agreement" where his signature and name are present. He stated Tisha's decision to alter the schedule twice close to the shoot date (two days prior to the scheduled US travel date) resulted in significant financial losses and complicated the difficult process of securing Indian visa slots. He denied treating her unprofessionally, offering screenshots of the call log and message exchange to prove they communicated "in a very relaxed manner."
Khan suggested Tisha is being "dishonest" for requesting a refund after causing the production loss and noted that actor Khairul Bashar promptly returned his advance upon withdrawal, unlike Tisha.
Tisha reportedly received an advance of approximately Rs 4 lakh for her role in the film. The conflict is complicated by the return of this advance following her removal/withdrawal.
