500 Meritorious Students Honored with Scholarships in Tangail

Five hundred meritorious students from various schools and madrasas in Tangail were awarded scholarships, crests and certificates on Friday at an event organized by the Teachers Foundation Central Committee.

The distribution ceremony recognized students from playgroup to the tenth grade was held at the Sonar Bangla Community Center in the city.

State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku MP, attended as the chief guest and personally handed over the awards. In his address he emphasized the critical role of the younger generation in the nation's future.

"Today’s meritorious students will lead the way in building a prosperous Bangladesh. Therefore families, teachers and society must work together to nurture their talents" the State Minister said. He urged students to focus not only on academic excellence but also on developing strong moral values and patriotism.

He further noted that the Prime Minister's initiative to organize the 'New Bud' (Notun Kuri) competition is designed to help students build competence in co-curricular activities alongside their formal education.

The program was chaired by Tangail District BNP President Md. Hasanuzzammil Shaheen. Special guests included Dr. Khandaker Anisul Haque, Tangail President of the Teachers Foundation, Mahmudul Haque Sanu, former member secretary of the district BNP and UPETC instructor Md. Islam Mia.

The event was widely attended by local educators, parents and students with Teachers Foundation Tangail General Secretary Mamunur Rashid and Literary Affairs Secretary Bhavesh Mukut Pal also present to support the initiative.
