The monthly meeting of the Louhjang Upazila Law and Order Committee was held on Thursday (May 23) at the Upazila Parishad meeting room in Munshiganj.

The meeting, chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Farzana Bobby Mitu, began at 11:00 am. Discussions focused on the overall law and order situation, drug prevention, and maintaining social stability in the upazila.

Speakers at the meeting stressed the need for effective measures to control drug-related activities and strengthen public safety.

Among those present were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Erfanur Rahman, Louhjang Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Borhanul Islam, Padma Bridge (North) Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Akter Hossain, LGED Engineer Md. Rezaul Islam, Agriculture Officer Md. Hasan Uddaula, Resident Medical Officer Dr. Sabrina Akhter, Rural Electricity Association AGM Shabnam Foara Khan, Women Affairs Officer Aradhana Rani Karmakar, Public Health Engineer Md. Kamrul Islam, Social Service Officer Md. Ujjwal Munshi, and Haldia Government High School Headmaster Md. Rafiqul Islam.

Also present were members of law enforcement agencies, including Naval Police, Fire Service, Tourist Police, Coast Guard, and Ansar representatives, along with local journalists, union panel chairmen, and officials from different government departments.
