


The monthly meeting of the Louhajang Upazila Law and Order Committee was held on Thursday to review the security situation and administrative priorities of the region.
The session, chaired by Louhajang Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Farzana Bobby Mitu, commenced at 11:00 AM in the Upazila Parishad conference room.
Discussions centered on the upazila’s overall safety, with a specific focus on curbing theft, drug abuse, and juvenile gang activities. The committee also emphasized the need for stricter market monitoring to stabilize prices and improved road safety measures.
Departmental heads presented progress reports, stressing that coordinated efforts between the administration, law enforcement, and public representatives are vital to maintaining peace. Speakers also urged for increased public awareness and the swift resolution of citizen complaints to prevent crime at the grassroots level.
The meeting was attended by upazila officials, law enforcement representatives, members of the press, and other committee stakeholders.
