Two Arrested With 100 Yaba Tablets in Narail's Kalia

Naragati police have arrested two alleged drug dealers with 100 pieces of Yaba tablets from Narail's Kalia upazila.

The arrestees were identified as Milan Sheikh, 34, son of the late Hasan Sheikh of Dumuria village, and Nitai Shil, 25, son of Kartik Shil of Joganiya village. Both villages fall under the jurisdiction of Naragati Police Station.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by SI F.M. Tarek and ASI Md. Nazrul Islam conducted a raid on Friday night. The duo was apprehended on a dirt road in front of Rahij Sheikh’s house in Baoisona village. Upon searching them, law enforcers recovered 100 pieces of Yaba.

Naragati Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Abdur Rahim confirmed the arrests. He stated that a case has been filed against the suspects under the Narcotics Control Act, and they were forwarded to court on Sunday morning to be sent to jail.
