


Dhaka University (DU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK-based social enterprise Cotton Connect Limited to enhance academic and research collaboration.
The agreement was signed following a courtesy call by Alison Ward, CEO of Cotton Connect, on DU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. A.S.M. Obaidul Islam at his office on Tuesday.
The MoU was signed by Professor Dr. A.S.M. Mohiuddin, Chairman of the DU Department of Soil, Water and Environment, and Alison Ward on behalf of their respective organizations.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the importance of expanding joint research initiatives with world-renowned institutions to elevate the quality of higher education in Bangladesh. He noted that such partnerships are essential for fostering innovation and addressing global environmental and agricultural challenges.
The delegation from Cotton Connect included Advisor Dr. Md. Farid Uddin and other senior officials. DU Professors Dr. Md. Jasim Uddin and Dr. A.S.M. Mohiuddin were also present during the discussion.
