


This year, the pass rate in HSC and equivalent examinations was the lowest in the last 20 years. As a result, a record was also set for HSC Result, 'not being satisfied'.
Every year, examinees get the opportunity to re-examine their public examination Khata. This year too, 226,000 students in 11 education boards of the country have applied for a total of 428,458 Khata Challenges.
Among the education boards, 66,000 students from Dhaka Education Board have applied for the re-examination of Khata, while 7,916 students from Madrasa Education Board have applied for the re-examination of Khata.
The education boards are working with the aim of publishing the results of Khata Re-examination by November 16.
According to the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, 226,000 students have applied for the re-examination of Khata of 428,000 papers.
There is a rule to give the results of re-examination within 30 days of the publication of the results. Accordingly, November 16 falls on the day. The results of the re-examination of the accounts will be published by November 16.
The results of the HSC and equivalent examinations were published on October 16. Then, from October 17 to October 23, the examinees had the opportunity to apply for re-examination of the accounts online.
Students had to apply for re-examination of the accounts by paying a fee of Tk 150 for each paper. 66,150 examinees of the Dhaka Board have applied for re-examination. They have applied for re-examination of the accounts of a total of 1,36,506 papers. 22,503 examinees of the Comilla Board have applied for re-examination of the accounts of 42,044 papers. 20,924 examinees of the Rajshahi Board have applied for re-examination of the accounts of 36,102 papers. 20,395 students of the Jessore Board have applied for re-examination of the accounts of 36,205 papers.
In Chittagong Board, 22,595 candidates have applied for re-examination of 46,148 papers. In Sylhet Board, 13,044 candidates have applied for re-examination of 23,082 papers. In Barisal Board, 8,111 candidates have applied for re-examination of 17,489 papers. In Dinajpur Board, 17,318 candidates have applied for re-examination of 29,297 papers. In Mymensingh Board, 15,598 candidates have applied for re-examination of 30,736 papers. In Technical Education Board, 12,070 students have applied for re-examination of 15,378 papers. And finally, 7,916 examinees of the Madrasa Education Board have applied for re-verification of 14,733 accounts.
The results of the HSC and equivalent examinations were published on October 16. In this, the average pass rate in the country's 11 education boards is 58.83 percent, which is the lowest in the last 20 years.
This time, only 69,097 people got GPA-5. Compared to last year, that is, 2024, the pass rate has decreased by about 18 percent and the number of students getting GPA-5 has decreased by 76,814.
