


Laxmipur district posted a 63.91 percent pass rate in the 2026 SSC and equivalent examinations. Of the 13,410 candidates from 181 institutions who sat the exams 8,570 passed and 762 students achieved GPA-5.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education) Md. Majbaul Alam Bhuiyan said 5,866 male and 7,544 female candidates appeared this year. Among those who passed 3,500 were male and 5,070 were female.
The figures show female candidates outnumbered male candidates both in participation and results. Of the total passers about 59 percent were female students.
Students, teachers and guardians across the district welcomed the results, crediting the success to the combined efforts of teachers, guardians and school administrations.
