SSC Results in Cox's Bazar: Pass Rate Stands at 57.09%

The pass rate in the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations under the Chittagong Education Board in Cox's Bazar district has stood at 57.09 percent.

Among the educational institutions in the district, Baitush Sharaf Jabbaria Academy maintained its reputation by consistently achieving excellent results and securing a top position. The school has consistently retained its fame by securing high pass rates and a significant number of GPA-5s at the district level each year.

The results evoked mixed reactions among students across the district. While meritorious students celebrated their success, teachers and officials expressed concern over the overall decline in results.

This year, a total of 18,223 examinees were registered to sit for the SSC exams in Cox's Bazar district, out of which 18,128 were present. Among them, 10,349 students across various groups achieved at least a minimum GPA of 1.00. According to the result statistics of Cox's Bazar district, a total of 899 students obtained GPA-5. Based on the examinees present, the rate of securing GPA-5 stands at 4.96 percent.

Following the publication of results on Monday (August 10), vibrant crowds of students gathered at various educational institutions across the district. School premises turned jubilant with excitement from teachers, students, and parents upon receiving the results.

Expressing his joy, Tahmid Ahmed, a GPA-5 achiever from the science stream at Baitush Sharaf Jabbaria Academy, said, "Consistent study over the past two years and proper guidance from my teachers and parents made this success possible. I am truly delighted to see the fruits of hard work. In the future, I want to become an engineer and serve the country."

On the other hand, Miftahul Jannat, a humanities student from the same school who did not achieve her desired result, shared, "I expected a better result. There were some shortcomings in my exam preparation, and a few subjects did not go as expected. However, I am not disheartened; I will learn from this result and work harder in Class XI."

Commenting on the overall performance, Syed Karim, Headmaster of Baitush Sharaf Jabbaria Academy, said, "Our students have performed well overall, and we hope for even better results in the future." He added that the school will identify the subjects where students faced weaknesses and arrange extra classes alongside special guidance moving forward.
