A young man named Abu Naeem (30) was tragically killed in an attack by miscreants in the Parameswardi area of Noagaon Union in Sonargaon Upazila of Narayanganj. Locals said that the incident took place on the evening of February 15 (Sunday). The sudden murder has caused extreme panic and tension in the area. Police have arrested one accused within a short time of the incident.
The deceased Abu Naeem is the younger son of the deceased Abdul Hekim of Parameswardi village. He had been working as a mason in the area for a long time with good reputation. According to locals, he was a hardworking and calm person. In addition to his livelihood, he was also associated with a cooperative society and played an active role in various social activities. As a result, he was widely known to the locals.
According to local sources, miscreants ambushed him on the day and night of the incident. It is believed that he was seriously injured by a sharp weapon. People around him rescued him in a bloody state and tried to provide him with immediate medical treatment. However, he ultimately died as his physical condition was critical.
The specific reason for the murder has not yet been confirmed. There are various rumors in the area about whether the attack was based on a family dispute, past enmity or some other issue. In this regard, Sonargaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mohibullah said that a case has been filed in this incident and one person has been arrested. The investigation of the case has been entrusted to SI Ratan. He said, we are determined to unravel the mystery of the incident and bring those responsible to justice. Abu Naeem's death has cast a shadow of grief over his family. The wailing of relatives has created a heartbreaking situation in the area. Local residents have demanded the immediate arrest of the culprits and exemplary punishment.
