Nageshwari launches 10-taka health service

A voluntary organization named Phul has launched a 10-taka health service for everyone in Nageshwari, Kurigram. The program was inaugurated at the 10-taka Hospital and Public Health Diagnostic Center run by Phul in the morning.

The program was inaugurated by Abu Jafar, Director of Local Government Department, Rangpur. Kurigram Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Firuzul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner ABM Kudrat-e Khuda, Upazila Executive Officer Muh. Shahnur Zaman, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Sujan Saha, Phul Director Abdul Quader and others spoke at the event.

The speakers said that the social organization Fight Until Light (Phul) has been working in the service of people for a long time. The 10-taka medical service program is a continuation of it. Under this program, the general public can get treatment from a specialist doctor throughout the month of December by paying 10 taka visits.

This will enable the poor people of 14 unions of Nageshwari Upazila to avail medical services at a low cost. Appreciating this initiative, the chief guest, Abu Jafar, Director of Local Government Department, Rangpur, said that the government will provide assistance in this program.
