BCB Board Meeting Today: Leadership, BPL and Coaching Decisions in Focus

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is set to hold a key board meeting on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., with several major issues expected to be discussed, including the national team's leadership, coaching staff, player injury management, the future of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), and India's upcoming tour of Bangladesh.

One of the meeting's biggest talking points is the ODI captaincy. According to reports, the BCB is considering replacing current captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz with Litton Das, who already leads the T20I side. A final decision could be announced after the meeting.

Litton's recent injury is also expected to be reviewed. Although he traveled with the squad for the Zimbabwe tour after the T20I series against Australia, he did not play and later returned home. He has also been ruled out of the upcoming Test against Australia in Darwin. Questions surrounding his rehabilitation have placed the BCB's medical department under increased scrutiny.

The board is also expected to review the medical team's handling of player injuries following criticism over diagnosis, treatment plans, and return-to-play decisions involving several national cricketers. Changes to the department or reforms to its operations could be discussed.
