Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it launched several ballistic missiles at a U.S. military base and command center in Jordan, describing the attack as retaliation for what it called renewed American aggression.

In a statement, the IRGC's Aerospace Force said the strike targeted a U.S. airbase and command facility in Jordan. The group claimed the operation was carried out in response to what it described as "aggressive actions" by the U.S. military.

The IRGC warned that it would continue military operations if it believes U.S. actions threaten Iranian interests.

"As long as threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran continue and American forces maintain what we consider illegal actions against our interests of resistance will continue" the statement said.

The group also called on U.S. officials to end what it described as threats and interference in Iranian affairs.

The statement reflects the IRGC's account of the incident. At the time of publication, there was no independent verification of the claimed strike and U.S. or Jordanian authorities had not publicly confirmed or commented on the reported attack.

The reported strike comes amid heightened tensions between Iran and the United States, raising concerns about the potential for broader regional escalation.
