Mahbubul Haque Nannu, the Assistant Organizing Secretary of the BNP Central Executive Committee and former VP of Barishal BM College, commented that the public will not vote for the perpetrators of genocide from '71 and '24.
He made the comment at a rally in Nalchhiti, Jhalokathi, this morning (Wednesday, October 15) after distributing leaflets detailing BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman’s 31-point framework for state reform.
Nannu stated that terrorism, anarchy, and the PR system will never be accepted by the people of the country, arguing that voters have already turned away from "terrorist parties." He expressed the nation's desire to see Tarique Rahman as the next Prime Minister, urging activists to unite and bring about a "revolution of the sheaf of paddy" (BNP's electoral symbol).
The rally, organized by Nalchhiti Upazila BNP, was held at the Nalchhiti Bus Stand Square and chaired by the Upazila BNP President, Advocate Anisur Rahman Khan Helal.
Other speakers at the event included Sardar Enamul Haque Elin, a member of the Jhalokathi District BNP Convener Committee; Robiul Hossain Tuhin, Convener of the District Juba Dal; Azadul Rahman, Convener of the District Swechchhasebak Dal; and Touhid Alam Manna, Convener, and Saidul Kabir Rana, Member Secretary, of the Nalchity Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal.
Following the rally, Nannu conducted public outreach across various parts of the town with party activists, distributing Tarique Rahman's 31-point leaflets. He exchanged pleasantries with ordinary citizens and campaigned for votes for the sheaf of paddy. Hundreds of activists from the BNP and its associate organizations participated in his program.
