CHT Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan Resign

Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan has submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister, citing health complications.

In a resignation letter sent on Monday (June 1), he said he has been experiencing various physical illnesses since taking office. As a result, he has faced difficulties in carrying out the ministry's regular activities and responsibilities effectively.

Dipen Dewan stated that stepping down from his position is necessary to ensure the continued pace of the government's development and administrative activities. He therefore requested the Prime Minister to accept his resignation.

According to reports, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has accepted the resignation.
