


A man was shot and killed outside the entrance of the National Medical Institute Hospital in Dhaka this morning (10 November).
He was found in critical condition and transported to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to Md Faruk, who oversees the DMCH police outpost, as reported by The Business Standard.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 am when assailants fired at the unidentified man from a short distance.
Yasin, a sub-inspector at Kotwali Police Station, who was on duty at the time, informed Business Times, "Upon hearing the gunfire, I hurried to the hospital's front and discovered a man on the ground with gunshot injuries. "He had been shot from very close range. We have not yet identified him." An eyewitness named Apon recounted to the reporter that two individuals approached the hospital entrance and shot the victim from behind.
"After several shots were fired, the man fell to the ground and the attackers then escaped the scene on a motorcycle," he added.
