


Repeated Iranian strikes targeted key infrastructure in Kuwait on Saturday causing significant damage fires and several injuries. The incidents highlight the growing regional fallout of the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran.
The state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) confirmed that one of its vital oil facilities suffered severe material damage and minor injuries. According to a statement released via the KUNA news agency the site was evacuated safely injured personnel received immediate medical care and emergency teams are managing the situation alongside state authorities.
Separately Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy reported that an early Saturday strike triggered a fire at a major power generation and water desalination plant.
Kuwait, which hosts several U.S. military assets, has increasingly found itself caught in the crossfire. The latest escalation involves direct U.S. strikes on Iran and subsequent retaliatory strikes by Tehran against American assets and allied nations across the Gulf.
This intense exchange of fire occurs despite a Pakistan-brokered memorandum of understanding signed in June which aimed to establish a ceasefire and pave the way for a lasting peace agreement. Local authorities continue to assess the damage to Kuwait's energy and water supply networks.
