World Environment Day Procession Held in Morelganj

A procession and discussion marked World Environment Day in Morelganj, Bagerhat, on Wednesday.

The event was organized by the Engage Project of the Community Development Center (CODEC), an NGO dedicated to protecting communities vulnerable to climate and environmental risks.

Following a 10:00 a.m. procession on the Upazila Parishad premises, a discussion was held in the Upazila meeting room. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Habibullah attended as the chief guest.

Other key speakers included Upazila Engineer Md. Ariful Islam, Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Saiful Islam, CODEC Area Officer Ajifa Nila, and Technical Officer Kazi Sunny Ferdous.

Teachers, students, NGO officials, journalists, and civil society representatives from various educational institutions attended the program.
