A five-month pregnant woman and her husband were allegedly beaten and seriously injured after attackers stormed their house over a long-standing dispute in Sreepur, Gazipur.

The accused named in the complaint are Md. Jahidul (35), Md. Sabbir Kha (25), Md. Khokon (30), and Md. Fahad (18), all residents of Nagarhawla village in Sreepur. The Incident

According to case details, the accused had a long-standing dispute with Amena Khatun’s family. On June 7, at approximately 3:00 PM, the attackers forcefully entered Amena’s home armed with sticks and launched an indiscriminate assault.

The plaintiff stated that she is currently five months pregnant. During the attack, the prime accused, Jahidul, allegedly kicked her in the lower abdomen, causing her to collapse with severe pain. When her husband, Md. Ujjal Hossain, and her father-in-law tried to protect her, they were also beaten.

The attackers fled the scene after threatening neighbors who attempted to intervene. Relatives subsequently rescued the injured housewife and rushed her to the Sreepur Upazila Health Complex for medical treatment. Police Investigation

Following the formal complaint, Sub-Inspector (SI) AR Hossain of Sreepur Model Police Station visited the village to conduct a primary inquiry, interviewing both the victims and the accused.
