


The Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested two suspected drug traffickers during an early morning raid in Bhola, seizing marijuana and Yaba pills.
Acting on a tip-off, a Coast Guard team from the Bhola Base conducted a special operation around 2:00 a.m. on Thursday (May 21) near Shiali Bari in the Char Samaiya area of Bhola Sadar. During the raid, officers seized one kilogram of marijuana (ganja) and 43 Yaba pills, with an estimated street value of Tk 62,000.
The suspects were identified as Md. Nur Alam, 51, son of Md. Abdul Malek Master, and Md. Anwar Hossain, 52, son of Md. Rafiqul Islam. Both men are residents of Ward No. 5 in Char Samaiya.
Lt. Md. Abul Kashem, Media Officer of the Coast Guard South Zone, confirmed the details of the operation.
The suspects and the seized narcotics have been handed over to the Bhola Sadar Police Station for further legal proceedings.
