Six Arrested in Phulbari Drug and Penal Cases

Police arrested six people in separate narcotics and regular criminal cases during overnight raids in Phulbari upazila of Dinajpur on Thursday.

The arrested are Madan Mohant, 42, son of Mahindre of Barai Bazarpara village; Md. Sagar, 26, son of Abdul Latif of Rajarampur village; Farhad Hossain, 35, son of Azhar Ali of Dadpur village; Arif Hossain, 24, son of Fulchan Mia; Jalal Uddin, 56, son of Nezam Uddin of Pukhuri Hatkhola village; and Faruk Hossain, 26, son of Jalal Uddin.

According to police, Madan Mohant and Md. Sagar were arrested in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.

Farhad Hossain and Arif Hossain were also arrested in another case filed under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018.

Meanwhile, Faruk Hossain and his father Jalal Uddin were arrested in a separate regular case filed under several sections of the Penal Code at Phulbari Police Station.

Officer-in-Charge of Phulbari Police Station, Shah Abdul Latif, said the accused were sent to jail through the court on Friday.
