Indian Filmmaker Soumitra Dastidar Visits SM Sultan Memorial Museum

Renowned Indian documentary filmmaker, journalist, and critic Soumitra Dastidar visited the SM Sultan Memorial Museum in Narail on Saturday afternoon.

Accompanied by painter Abhijit Majumder, Dastidar was welcomed by the museum’s curator, Tandra Mukherjee, and local cultural personality Sheikh Abu Hanif. Following the museum tour, the guests visited the SM Sultan Bengal Art College.

During the visit, Dastidar expressed his admiration for the legendary artist’s legacy. "I am delighted to be in Bangladesh, especially here in Narail," he said. He further shared his ambition to produce a documentary focused on the life and philosophical depth of the world-renowned painter SM Sultan.
