


The Raipur Upazila administration organized a special training seminar on freelancing and digital marketing at the Upazila Parishad auditorium to create self-employment opportunities and build a skilled IT workforce.
A total of 250 trainees representing 10 batches across the upazila’s 10 unions participated in the day-long event.
Raipur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mehedi Hasan Kawsar attended as chief guest, while Upazila ICT Officer Shubrajit Roy chaired the session. Top-rated freelancer and digital marketing expert Md. Solaiman Sheikh Nishan delivered the keynote address.
Speakers highlighted that combining practical IT skills with traditional education enables young people to work with global companies from home also earning foreign currency and establishing financial independence.
The session covered freelancing fundamentals, key digital marketing sectors, marketplace strategies, skill development paths and career-building guidelines tailored for remote work.
Organizers expressed optimism that this local government initiative will encourage digital skill adoption also reduce youth unemployment and transform local youths into technology-driven professionals in Laxmipur.
