Run Bangladesh Brings Running and Community Together at Sprint Dhaka Move 2026

Fitness enthusiasts gathered at Hatirjheel on Friday for the second edition of Sprint Dhaka Move 2026, organized by Run Bangladesh under the theme "Run and Connect."

The community event featured 4.6-mile (7.4 km) and 9.3-mile (15 km) races aiming to encourage active lifestyles and build lasting social connections through running.

In the 4.6-mile category Md Hanif Hossain won the men’s race with a time of 27 minutes 8 seconds while Mounota Alam took the women’s title in 46 minutes 15 seconds. In the 9.3-mile event Raihan Hossain secured first place in the men’s division at 54 minutes 30 seconds and Sweety Kabir won the women’s title in 1 hour 27 minutes 49 seconds.

The event concluded with an award ceremony honoring 20 top finishers across both categories. Event pacers and partner organizations were also recognized for their support.

Sprint served as the title sponsor with RBAN Timing Solutions as co-sponsor and Jamuna Television as the official media partner. Additional support was provided by AMA Coffee, Kazi & Kazi Tea and MILO.

Run Bangladesh expressed gratitude to all runners, volunteers, and sponsors for making the event a success also reiterating its goal to make running an everyday activity across the country.
