Morelganj Upazila Administration observed National Productivity Day on Friday with a rally and discussion meeting highlighting the role of technology, skills and innovation in national development.

The event took place at the Upazila Parishad conference room under the national theme, "Integration of Innovation, Technology and Skills for Boosting Productivity." Morelganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Habibullah presided over the meeting.

Addressing the gathering, UNO Habibullah emphasized that modern technology and skilled labor are essential for sustainable economic growth.

"Increasing production through manual labor alone is no longer sufficient in the modern era" Habibullah said. "Integrating advanced technology and building skills across all sectors will strengthen our economy. The upazila administration remains committed to applying modern solutions to local agriculture, fisheries and small industries."

Speakers at the meeting called for transforming the general public into skilled also tech-oriented human resources to drive national progress.

The meeting was attended by Upazila Engineer Md. Ariful Islam, Setara-Abbas Technical College Acting Principal Md. Mizanur Rahman, Police Sub-Inspector Mahfuzar Rahman, Press Club President Mashiur Rahman Masum alongside local political figures, journalists and community representatives.

The program concluded with special prayers for the nation's continued prosperity and economic stability.
