The schedule for the Jhalakathi District Bar Association Executive Council Election 2026 has been announced on Wednesday morning, January 7.

The announced schedule signed by Election Commissioner Advocate Md. Syed Hossain states that the draft voter list will be published during office hours on Sunday, January 11.

Objections to the draft voter list can be filed during office hours on the next day, Monday, January 12.

Hearing and settlement of objections to the draft voter list will be held on Tuesday, January 13 during office hours. The final voter list will be published on Wednesday, January 14.

According to the announced schedule, candidates can collect nomination papers from the chief office assistant of the association at the prescribed price on Thursday, January 15 during office hours.

The nomination papers must be submitted by 3 pm on Sunday, January 18, the day after the purchase.

Later, the nomination papers will be selected and there is an opportunity to withdraw the candidacy on Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20.

The final list of candidates for the 11 posts of the association will be published on Wednesday, January 21, the day after the withdrawal.

According to the announced schedule, voting will be held for 4 hours continuously from 10 am to 2 pm on Thursday, January 29, a week after the publication of the final list of candidates. On the same day, at 3 pm, the results of the Executive Council Election 2026 of the Bar Association will be announced by Election Commissioner Advocate Md. Syed Hossain.
