A general student crowd blocked the Barisal-Patuakhali highway demanding justice for the murder of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi, the spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha and a possible independent MP candidate for Dhaka-08 constituency.

On Sunday (December 28), from 3 pm to 4 pm, local student crowds blocked the road for an hour and observed a sit-in.

During this time, they raised various slogans demanding justice for the murder of Shaheed Osman Hadi, including "India's aggression, break it down", "My brother is in the grave, why is the murderer outside", "I want justice, justice, I want justice for Hadi's murder".

During the sit-in, the organizers of the anti-discrimination movement, Jhalakathi, Sathi Akhter, Saiful Islam, Sirajul Islam, Md. Mamun Mollah, social activist Bali Taifur Rahman Turya, NCP leader Mintu Howlader, A: Razzak Master, Asif Zia, Hafez Musa Sardar, Md. Hussain, Marjan Khan, Aminul Islam, Faizul Karim, Lamia Akhter, Rita Akhter, and others spoke at the sit-in.

The protesters said that after so long after Hadi's murder, the interim government informed them that the murderer had fled to India. This is undoubtedly motivated by the responsible role and intentions of the police and other law enforcement agencies. Sharif Osman warned that they would announce a stricter program if Hadi's killers were not arrested as soon as possible.

They claim that Hadi's murder was planned. The culprits should be brought to justice quickly.

At this time, rows of cars were blocked on both sides of the road. At 4:15 pm, they lifted the blockade, stating that the next program would be announced after discussions with the center of the Inquilab Mancha.
