The severity of winter has been increasing for the past week, along with the bitter cold, there is dense fog, and this has increased the number of patients in hospitals. Every day, 500 to 600 patients come to the Specialized Children's Hospital (Dr. Zahed Memorial) in Faridpur with various winter-related problems.

This is not only the case at this hospital, but also at various government and private health centers in the district, including Faridpur Medical College.

In this regard, Faridpur Pediatrician, Dr. Abdullah His Sayad said, the number of winter-related patients is increasing everywhere in the district due to the severity of winter. Especially at this time, children and the elderly are more affected. We are receiving more patients now than usual, most of them are parents coming to us with pneumonia, diarrhea, and cold-related diseases.

This expert doctor told the parents, as soon as the winter increases, the parents should be very aware, especially the children should refrain from taking them out of the house in any way, outside food should be avoided as much as possible, the children should be bathed and given warm water to drink. If any problem arises, the advice of the nearest doctor should be sought immediately.

Faridpur Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahmudul Hasan said, as soon as the winter intensity increases, we have given strict instructions to all health centers and union health centers in the district and upazila. And various suggestions are being given to make the parents aware.
