


An awareness event on environmentally friendly agricultural technologies and machinery was held on Monday (13 October) at the Melandaha Upazila Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center, organized under the Gender-Inclusive Market Systems for Improved Nutrition (GESMIN) project.
The day-long session focused on promoting the use of eco-friendly agricultural inputs and machinery to enhance crop yields and ensure sustainable farming practices. Special emphasis was placed on building partnerships between farmers and stakeholders to increase the adoption of green technologies in rural communities.
Implemented in partnership with World Vision Bangladesh and Development Association, the project is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program.
The event was moderated by Rashidul Hasan, Business Development Officer of GESMIN. Key speakers included:

Speakers emphasized the importance of equipping farmers with accurate knowledge and fostering trust in modern technology to promote the use of sustainable tools like organic pesticides, pheromone traps, and mechanized equipment. They also noted that agricultural mechanization can help address labor shortages in the farming sector.
