On the morning of Saturday, November 22, in Abdullahpur Union of Tongibari Upazila, Munshiganj, leaders from Jubo Dal and Mahila Dal formed a human chain on Main Para Road in front of Paikpara High School.
This was in response to the arrest of union Jubo Dal worker Md. Rajib Bepari. Rajib Sheikh was taken from his home in Paikpara by Narayanganj Fatulla Police Station on the night of October 20, linked to the July explosives case. His wife, Dulari Akhter, stated, "We are unaware of the charges against my husband, and we do not know who filed the case.
When the police came to our house that night and asked us to open the door, we complied. They did not speak to my husband and took him away in a car. Later, I found out he was implicated in the July explosives case. My husband was a youth worker in Abdulpur Union.
During the July protests, our family participated in the procession, meetings, and rallies in the signboard area of Narayanganj. He has no ties to the Awami League. My husband has been wrongfully accused of all the violence.
