Brazil supporters defeated Argentina fans 1-0 in a friendly football match in Kalia upazila on Friday (June 5) afternoon, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of all ages.
Organized by the local Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations, the match took place at the Kalia Government Pilot Model Secondary School ground.

Despite launching several strong counter-attacks, the Argentina supporters could not equalize before the final whistle.
Narail-1 MP Biswas Jahangir Alam, who joined virtually as the chief guest, emphasized the importance of sports in keeping youth away from drugs and crime.
"This match is a wonderful example of mutual camaraderie and social harmony," Alam said. "Competition is natural, but maintaining mutual respect and friendship is the bigger goal. I urge the organizers to continue such positive social initiatives."
Other local figures in attendance included Kalia Upazila BNP General Secretary S.M. Wahiduzzaman Milu, Kalia Police Station OC Idris Ali, and Municipal BNP President Sheikh Selim Hossain.
