Shahjalal Islami Bank Distributes 1,000 Saplings in Laxmipur

As part of the government's target to plant 250 million trees 1,000 fruit, forest and medicinal tree saplings have been distributed among students in Laxmipur.

Shahjalal Islami Bank's Laxmipur branch organized the event at Municipal Shaheed Smriti Academy on Tuesday morning. Organizers said tree plantation helps reduce carbon dioxide from the environment and can also support financial self-reliance.

Branch Manager Mohammad Humayun Kabir presided over the event with businessman Abu Sayeed attending as chief guest.

Special guests included Awlad Hossain Chowdhury, Headmaster of Municipal Shaheed Smriti Academy Sheikh Monir Uddin Ahmed, Manager of Shahjalal Islami Bank's Ramganj branch businessmen Ahsan Ullah, Zahir Uddin and Md. Jahangir youth representative Shahadat Jubayer and student representatives Yasin Bablu and Arman Hossain Kiron.

Humayun Kabir said the bank distributes tree saplings every year, and this year's distribution of 1,000 fruit, forest and medicinal saplings continues that tradition. He noted that students were excited to receive the saplings.
