Argentina's jersey lineup for the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been finalized, ending speculation among fans about what the defending champions will wear.
Lionel Scaloni's side will wear their traditional sky-blue and white striped home kit in two Group J matches—against Algeria and Austria. The team will switch to their new black away jersey for the final group-stage match against Jordan.
Argentina begin their World Cup campaign against Algeria tomorrow at 7:00 am Bangladesh time in Kansas City. The team will wear their familiar striped jersey with blue shorts and blue socks. Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez will appear in an all-orange kit.
The reigning world champions will wear the same home kit against Austria in their second group-stage match. However, Martinez's goalkeeper jersey will change to a light green design.
Argentina's new black away kit will make its World Cup debut against Jordan in Dallas. The jersey features blue and sky-blue accents, with white numbers and logos. Martinez will again wear a green goalkeeper kit, this time in a darker shade.
According to the design concept, the away jersey is inspired by the traditional decorative art of Buenos Aires, Argentina's capital. Elements of that artistic style are reflected in the back panel and overall design.
As Argentina pursue a successful title defense, they will play two group-stage matches in their iconic home colors and one in their newly introduced away kit.
