Saudi Arabia will celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday as the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted on Wednesday.
Authorities confirmed that Ramadan will complete 30 days, with the final fast observed on Thursday, according to reports by Khaleej Times and Gulf News.
Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated on the first day of Shawwal, following a month of fasting. The date depends on the sighting of the new moon.
In Bangladesh, Eid is usually observed a day after Saudi Arabia. This year, Ramadan also began a day later in Bangladesh, so Eid is expected to follow the same pattern.
Eid-ul-Fitr is one of the largest religious festivals for Muslims worldwide, marking the end of Ramadan.
