Sayed Al Noman, the BNP-nominated candidate for the Chattogram-10 constituency, has stated his commitment to democratic values, pledging to welcome whoever the people choose in a fair election.
During an exchange of views with journalists at a restaurant in the city’s Lalkhan Bazar on Wednesday afternoon, Noman emphasized the importance of a transparent and participatory electoral process.
"If the election is held fairly, one candidate will inevitably be chosen by the people’s mandate. I will be the first to applaud the winner," Noman said. He added that if he is elected, he would view it as a significant increase in his responsibility toward nation-building. "Conversely, if someone else wins, I will congratulate them and offer my full cooperation for the welfare of the country."
Accountability and Public Trust Outlining his vision, Noman stated that his primary goal is to remain accountable to the electorate. "The people will evaluate my performance over five years. I believe in work, and it is the people’s trust and love that will determine the future of this constituency," he remarked.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders, including Bangladesh Nationalist Workers' Party Central Vice President Nazim Uddin and former City BNP joint convener SK Khoda Toton, along with various local activists.
Noman concluded the session by praising the independent role of the media in ensuring a neutral election environment and answered questions regarding his campaign strategies for the upcoming polls.
