Dr. Zubaida Rahman, wife of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, left Dhaka for London today, December 20, following a brief visit to Bangladesh. Her departure comes as preparations finalize for her husband's highly anticipated return to the country later this month.

Dr. Zubaida, who is a member of the medical board for BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport this morning and boarded a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight to the UK capital.

During her stay, Dr. Zubaida visited Evercare Hospital multiple times to assess the health of her mother-in-law, Khaleda Zia, and coordinated with the medical team.

While her initial arrival was linked to arrangements for taking Khaleda Zia abroad for advanced treatment, the family has decided that the former Prime Minister will continue her medical care within Bangladesh for the time being.

Official sources confirmed that Tarique Rahman is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka on December 25 at 11:45 AM. He has already secured a travel pass from the Bangladesh High Commission in London to facilitate his homecoming.

Khaleda Zia remains under close supervision at Evercare Hospital as she continues to battle several serious health complications.
