


Dr. Khalilur Rahman President-elect of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) held strategic meetings with senior European diplomats in New York on Wednesday to outline priorities for the upcoming assembly session.
During separate discussions, Dr. Rahman met with Slovakia’s Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanár Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lasha Darsalia and North Macedonia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Zoran Dimitrovski.
The diplomatic meetings focused on shaping key agenda items for the UNGA's 81st session. In his talks Dr. Rahman emphasized his operational vision for the assembly reaffirming his strict commitment to a presidency that remains open inclusive and fundamentally driven by Member States. He noted that his primary objective as President-elect is to foster broad and effective cooperation among all UN member nations.
