The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a weather warning for 15 inland river ports, effective until 1:00 PM today, Tuesday (June 16).
Temporary gusty or stormy winds, blowing from the east or southeast at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour, are expected to hit by noon. These winds will likely be accompanied by rain or thundershowers.
The affected regions include Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet.
Due to the severe weather risk, authorities have instructed river ports in these areas to hoist Warning Signal No. 1.
